Activity Photos – Chinese New Year 2021

To celebrate Chinese New Year this year at Siratthaya, students in elementary classes had decorated the school with Chinese door couplets and other traditional red ornaments since the begining of February, welcoming the year of Ox.

On the new year day, all students enjoyed the puppet performance
telling the story about “Nian”, a monster who, according to Chinese legend, hates red colour, fire, and loud noise. After that, the children had new year rice flour cakes, or Khanom Thuay Fu, together.

The students in elementary class 4 and 5 participated in a lion dance parade to wish teachers and younger fellow students and to search for the lucky red envelops hidden in each classroom along with a cheering crowd of the younger pupils. It was such an exciting and fun activity for our children and their little childhood world.
